Restoration

Here is a detailed outline of what goes into a restoration.

  • All things Fenders, doors, trunk lid,  hood,entire drive train, fuel tank,all glass, suspension, grille assemblies, all lights, is virtually everything that can be removable is disassembled off the car to be inspected,replaced or refurbished .
  • Bodies are cleaned then stripped bare .
  • Cars having major rust problem or former collision will be set on a frame jig.
  • All sheet metal get inspected. For any deterioration is replaced with new metal.
  • All suspension and steering components are inspected and any worn parts are replaced with new. Front ends then get a new realignment.
  • All wiring is inspected, cleaned, re-taped or replaced.
  • All dash assembly like,gauges, speakers, radios, lighting (interior and exterior) and all accessories are inspected before final assembly.
  • All brake lining is new. Rotors are resurfaced or replaced when needed. Master cylinders, brake lines, hoses and all hardware are inspected and replaced if needed.
  • Seat upholstery, door panels, pedal pads, carpeting, and instrument bezel are replaced with new as needed. Painted interior parts are repainted.
  • All exterior chrome from grille parts to rocker panel moldings to tail light bezels are replaced with new when needed.
  • Wheels are replaced. New tires are mounted and balanced.
  • Door hinges are inspected,  new pins, bushings installed.
  • All convertible top mechanisms and hardware are inspected.
  • Convertible top, rear window, top boot, pads and well liner are new.
  • New weather stripping, seals and grommets .
  • Engines and transmissions are completely rebuilt.
  • Complete new clutch assemblies .
  • Universal joints, drive shaft, wheel bearings and seals are inspected and replaced when needed.
  • Four new shock absorbers .
  • Exhaust systems are replaced or updated.
  • Radiators are serviced or replaced. New clamps,hoses are installed.
  • Engine compartments are repainted.
  • Trunk compartments are detailed,with painted, trunk mats and spare tire covers.
  • Body seams are re-caulked and sealed.
  • Bumpers are re-chromed or replaced.
  • New  windshields and seals are installed.
  • Motor and transmission mounts are replaced.
  • Shifters  for transmision get  new bushings installed and adjusted.
  • Batteries, battery trays and cables are installed.
  • Power steering units are sevriced or replaced.  hoses and seals are replaced.
  • Alternator,regulator, voltage , heater system ,all sending units are tested and replaced if  needed.
  • Window regulators and door latches are cleaned and inspected then,lubricated.
  • All nuts and bolts, small metal parts throughout the car are inspected, sandblasted, rethreaded, and painted or plated before installation.
  • In the final assembly, all windows, hoods,doors, fenders, bumpers, trunk lids, grille parts, are hand installed then fitted and aligned.
